​Audition Opportunities

We're hiring for our 2022 season!

Available Positions: 

*Birthday Party Performers in New York City area!
Seeking graceful, outgoing, and motivated individuals to portray magical Princess Characters at birthday parties and events in NYC and surrounding areas! 

We LOVE our jobs! 
Spend your weekends attending birthday parties, festivals, parades, events and being adored by children. 

This is a JOB! 
Our costumes are heavy and hot, our activities take a lot of energy and personality, children require patience and compassion. 
We do more than just princess appearances at Joy's Princess Parties - our performers are ENTERTAINERS. 
Please do not apply if you just want dress up as a princess for fun.
Part-time, mostly weekends, some traveling!
Performers may be asked to portray fairytale assistants from time to time and drive themselves and/or other performers to gigs. 

Requirements:
* Must be at least 18 years of age. 
*Must be fully vaccinated & be able to pass a background check. 
* Weekend availability is a MUST.  
* Size 0-6 in order to fit our costumes. (We believe every size is beautiful! Unfortunately, our custom-made one-of-a-kind costumes were made to fit the already existing employees. If you have a costume of your own already, or would like to help invest in a costume of your size, feel free to apply. Performers who continue with the company for a consistent time will have costumes made just for them.) 
* Love kids and love hanging out with children! 
* Must have experience working with children in professional capacity. 
* Experienced actor, & vocalist; a BA or BFA in theatre is a plus.
* Must have a dazzling personality! Our princess characters are NOT shy!
​You must be able to think on your feet, go with the flow,  and improv confidently in character while following the Joy's Princess Parties party structures and scripts.  
* Must live in or near NYC, or be willing to commute to our princess headquarters on the Upper East Side. 
* Must have a drivers' license and be willing to drive to birthday parties and corporate events. 

Special talents appreciated!: Balloon Twisting,  Dancing, Face Painting, Musical Instruments, etc.
